| 内容記述 | In recent years, cases of event-based community development utilizing public spaces have been developed around the world. This paper clarifies that these efforts, which are called placemaking and tactical urbanism, correspond to the transition from the modern era to the post-modern era, in other words, the shift from the industrial society to the post-industrial society and the information society. The analysis extracts keywords and features from the concepts of placemaking and tactical urbanism, and shows that they match the features of the information society. Tactical urbanism is an initiative in which citizens, who are small entities, connect with networks and use the power of networks to improve the attractiveness of cities. In addition, it responds to changes in the process of urban planning and community development, such as shift from a small number of planners working on large visions, plans, and projects to those in which citizens themselves build up small practices through trial and error, and from “plans” for the future to actual implementation to “trials.” Furthermore, it corresponds to the change of the subject, from the method of urban planning and urban development by the government and companies with power and resources, and the citizens themselves to take responsibility for the activities. | |||||||||
