Principally, I discuss the scholar Zheng Yuanyou 鄭元祐 who lived in Pingjiang 平江 (Suzhou 蘇州) city at that time. I analyze Zheng’s life and his writings, and reveal his unique perspective on the socio-economic situation of the Zhexi 浙西 region.
