| 内容記述 | [Abstract] The purpose of this article is to evaluate societal changes during the mid to late Yuan 元 period in China. Principally, I discuss the scholar Zheng Yuanyou 鄭元祐 who lived in Pingjiang 平江 (Suzhou 蘇州) city at that time. I analyze Zheng’s life and his writings, and reveal his unique perspective on the socio-economic situation of the Zhexi 浙西 region. In addition, I chronicle Zheng’s relationship with his close acquaintance Guying 顧瑛 in the context of the Yuan dynasty and Zhang Shicheng 張士誠 government of the period. | |||||||||
