Gait analysis at 24 weeks showed that in the conduit group, the area of the foot print and contact pressure of the operated hind limb were significantly greater than that in the autograft group. The conduit group was superior to the autograft group, regarding the amplitude of the compound muscle action potential in the pedal adductor muscle and the motor nerve conduction velocity. In the conduit group, the number of the myelinated axons was smaller and the diameter of the nerve fibers was larger when compared with the autograft group.
