 note = {研究成果の概要（和文）：人口減少社会の到来に伴い、税収の減少と社会保障関係経費等の増大が見込まれ、今後の地方自治体の財政状況は厳しくなると予想される。地方財政に影響する要因のひとつとして、欧米では都市構造が指摘され、日本と異なり両者の因果関係に係る研究も数多く蓄積されている。しかし、その関心が高い欧米でも歳出面の分析は進むが、同時に考慮すべき歳入面の研究は乏しい。そこで、本研究では都市構造が地方自治体の歳出入に及ぼす影響を理論と実証の両面から分析した。その結果、都市構造の中で都市スプロールが進むと、地方自治体のその歳出だけでなく、歳入も増加することが明らかになった。
研究成果の概要（英文）：In Japan, a society with a decreasing population are expected to cause the serious deterioration of municipal public finance, because the revenues shrink and the social security-related expenditures expand. The empirical studies in Europe and in the United States have already demonstrated a significant causality between urban structure and local public finance. Although there are numerous discussions on the influence of urban structure on the expenditures, no attempt is made to examine its effect of the revenues. This study then address the issue.
