| 内容記述 | <Summary> Bagrid catfish Mystus nemurus is an Asian freshwater catfish inhabiting the rivers, estuaries, lakes and upstream of reservoirs. The remarkable progress in the commercial culture of bagrid catfish in Southeast Asia is attributed from its excellent taste and flesh quality. Therefore, it has been a popular fish for aquaculture in Southeast Asia and should be introduced as a global commodity in the future. At this moment, its market price is about USD8 which is 3 to 5 times higher than other commercial catfish such as African catfish Clarias gariepinus and river catfish Pangasianodon hypophthalmus especially in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, Although there is a tremendous increase in rearing interest of bagrid catfish as a commercial commodity in Southeast Asia, the artificially produced seeds still suffer from unclear causes of low larval survival. Therefore, this study aims to predict the cause of low larval survival and to provide suitable rearing condition to improve the survival of larval bagrid catfish. | |||||||
