However, the neural coding is not yet understood enough even in the early visual system, from retina to primary visual cortex. In this study, we developed a remapping algorithm to calculate the image projection from retina to lateral geniculate nucleus (LGN), in order to visualize the representation of visual information in the early visual system. We used a mathematical model which replicates the characteristics of the dynamics of retinal ganglion cells, and implemented the proposed algorithm to the output layer of this model. Simulation results suggest that the outputs of ganglion cells are gathered toward the central fovea while keeping the retinotopic representation of the visual field.
