Following the referendum, the author's college junior seminar students interviewed 20 members of the municipal assembly in Osaka City who belong to the Liberal Democratic Party. The author wrote a report based on the interviews and submitted it to the Osaka City branch of the LDP on September 23. The referendum was quite important because it could be used as a simulation for a possible referendum in the future by the whole nation to decide whether Japan should revise the Constitution.
