内容記述 | To construct a tutoring sy stem of programming for beginners, we should make it maintain the problem specifi cati on in some form so that it can be referred to examine whether the student's program is correct or not and to generate suitable advices if the program has some mistakes, corresponding to the diversity beginner's programs generate. However, there are various difficulties in di rect formalization of the specification. One of the sy stems that avoi d them is PROUST[4] . It examines the student's program and generate advi ces by preparing all program patterns written by students even if correct and wrong beforehand and matching the program wi th them. But it is very difficult and time consuming to collect all patterns for every newly made program problem. Therefore it is necessary to adopt an intermediate method to specify the specificati on. Then we propose the Map of Cause and Effect as a specification method of programming problem.It combines the flow chart and the data flow diagram and has some devi ces to correspond to diversi ty of student's programs. It is similar to Odell's event diagram [5] [6] [7] [8] but differs in the sense that it serves not only to generate a program li ke his but also to examine the program correctness and generate some advices.
