| 内容記述 | [Abstract] Each year a national English presentation contest for colleges of technology is held in Tokyo. Prior to the national contest, a preliminary regional contest is held in the Kinki District. If a team wins or places second in the regional event, they can attend the national contest.To prepare for the events, our students are instructed in presentation skills during E.S.S. activities. Our team, which consists of three students, has won in the Kinki District competition three times out of the past six contests and has also participated in the national contests. In order to present a skillful 10-minute English presentation in these contests, it is necessary to give appropriate advice to the students. Processes consist of deciding at heme, developing the story, writing the English manuscript, teaching pronunciation, making the PowerPoint© slides, and teaching the skills needed to perform on stage. This kind of project takes more than eight months of preparation, but the result for students is a great feeling of achievement. The students also realize the importance of making an appropriate presentation which is an indispensable part of communicative ability they need for their life in the future. | |||||||||||
