| 内容記述 | [Abstract]The report includes a questionnaire result conducted on patients who are under action immunotherapy and mechanism in immunotherapy. Thirty-six patients were treated with medication in 1999 to investigate action mechanism, 20 cases of which were treated with immunotherapy and the remaining 16 continued to be treated with medication. Peripheral blood was sampled before and at the time of pollen dispersal to measure IL-4, IL-5 and INF-γ values using ELISA for comparative review. As a result, it was revealed that imrnunotherapy for pollen allergy sufferers could control IL-4 and IL-5 production. The patients under immunotherapy were classified into two groups for a comparison trial; a response group with light nasal symptom and an unfavorable group. The result suggested that clinical effectiveness is not related to depressed production of IL-4 by immunotherapy alone but depressed production of IL-5, as only depressed production of IL-4 was observed in the unfavorable group. According to the questionnaire conducted on the patients with immunotherapy, it appeared that even now immunotherapy is spreading through word of mouth. In conclusion, what the patients hope most is that immunotherapy is actually available in neighboring medical institutions, rather than the improvement of treatment methods. | |||||||
