The researches of foreign workers in Japan are extensive and interdisciplinary, which include contributions from the fields of economics, sociology, and so on. It is important to use what we have learned from them to describe their careers. The previous researches suggest that we need to examine the influence of perceived career barriers and supports in the contexts of labor market, human resource systems in organizations, and workplace relations from the view of their racial history and culture.
