| 内容記述 | 【概要】ロジスティクスの概念の普及に伴い, サードパーティ・ロジスティクス(3PL)に対する関心が日本でも高まっている。 また, 3PLという用語で表現されているか否かを問わず, 3PLの事例は日本でも増加しつつあると考えられる。 そこで本稿は, 3PLの概念(定義と発展段階)ならびに日本における意義を整理し, 様々な企業が持つ3PLプロバイダー志向を分析するための試論とする。 特に, 荷主の物流拠点の運営を受託することが3PLプロバイダーの主要な条件であることを示し, 3PLプロバイダーの行動を出身業種別(物流事業者,物流子会社,卸売業者,総合商社)に概観する。 【Abstract】 The concept of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) has attracted attention in Japan since it was introduced from the United States in the 1990s. The aim of this paper is to investigate the concept of 3PL and its significance in Japan, and to provide the viewpoints to analyze the strategies of 3PL providers. We classify 3PL providers in Japan, by the industries to which they belong. They are logistics service providers (freight carriers, freight forwarders, warehouse companies, etc), subsidiaries of the shippers, wholesalers and general trading companies (sogo-shosha). |
