Strategies which lead to the safety improvement is evaluated in which the risks related to the safety of Chinese food products may be reduced through increases in the consumption of Japanese agricultural products and in Japanese food self-sufficiency. It is also clear that any solution to improving Japanese agriculture and food safety demands that the income of Japanese farming communities must be increased. The solution is for them to produce and export highly priced luxury food staff that can generate large profits.
