| 内容記述 | 【概要】近畿日本鉄道のホテル子会社である都ホテルグループは, 早期の段階から海外進出を果たすが, その要因は特殊な政治的なものであった。 その後, 急激な国際展開はないものの, 国内外ともに親会社やグループ企業のオンライン戦略か, 取引関係や付き合いを優先したような形でホテル展開を拡大していった。 1998年からは, 事業統括会社を設立して, 国内外の再編を手がけ, スリムで効率的な経営体質に改善するとともに, 不採算ホテルを生産, 整理統合していった。 ただし, その経営改革には, 海外において長きに渡って蓄積されてきた国際経営経験と組織学習が存分に活用され, 国際事業の再編に大きく貢献した。 【Abstract】 This paper is a follow-up case study on the internationalization of Kintetsu Miyako Hotel Group. The Miyako Hotel Group expanded to US in response to San Francisco Government and the locals' request for the Japanese hotel entry. Then the hotel group managed there for the long term, learned about the American way of the hotel business, and accumulated experience of international hotel managements. Since 1998, this hotel group restructured to the hotel operation company and undertook the organizational reform in Japan. On the other hand, the hotel group divested from San Francisco where was the first entry location in US, and made a new entry to Los Angeles. A series of this management reform and restructuring both in foreign and domestic markets was a distillate of Miyako hotel group's international management experience and organizational learning in US. |
