| 内容記述 | [Abstract] Icosahedra consisting of 13 atoms are formed with metal and some other atoms at the beginning of atom cluster formation. The magic number of valence electrons are closely related to the atomistic structure of the icosahedra. Atom clusters are also considered to consist of icosahedral structure units in general, and their transitions to cubic-type structures easily occur by the shear displacement of individual constituent atoms. The result is closely related to the nucleation mechanism of crystals. | |||||||||
