| 内容記述 | [Abstract] Usefulness of thermoanalytical survey carried out prior to laborious and time-consuming heat capacity calorimetry in energetic clarification of materials is emphasized by reviewing some of our experiments. The preliminary study can give quickly important information on appearance of metastable phases, its relative stability, and the condition for formation of each phase as purely as possible in a crystalline sample. The glass transition that has been regarded as one characteristic property of liquids turned out to be just one example of a class of "transition" which is of wide occurrence in condensed matters in relation to prolongation of relaxation time for relevant motion irrespective of translational periodicity of the constituent entities. | |||||||||
