[Abstract] A new air shower detection system has been constructed for observing of arriving time of small air showers lasted for an order of milliseconds to several minutes. The system is built as a small-size array of detectors which has about ten meters span. By using CAMAC, the system has powerful abilities for data acquisition in need of fast signal handling. It operates about. 1OOHz data taking rate for real air shower events. For live time of 344 hours of test running of this experiment, we get a triggering rate of air showers for 5-fold coincidence about an event per 3.3 minutes and also we get a power index value of n in dN/dz cosz for the zenith angle(z) distribution. And no event with abnormal frequency, deviated largely from average frequency with a short time of 3.3 minutes, is observed. A composition of the system and specification of electronics are presented in this paper. |
