 note = {[概要] ヘンリー・シジウィックは, ベンサムやJ.S.ミルに続く「功利主義の伝統の直接的系譜にある最後の哲学者」として知られている。 彼の『倫理学の諸方法』についてはこれまでに多くの研究がなされているが, 『経済学原理』, 『政治学要論』およびこれら著作の相互関係については十分検討されていないのが現状である。 本稿の目的は, 以上の三著作を通じてシジウィックの功利主義を考察すること, さらには倫理学・経済学・政治学から構成されるシジウィックの哲学体系のパースペクティブを描くことである。       [Abstract]　Henry Sidgwick is well known as "the last philosopher in the direct line of utilitarian tradition" following Bentham and J.S. Mill. There have been many studies done of The Methods of Ethics; however, The Principles of Political Economy, The Elements of Politics and the relationship between these works have not been studied sufficiently.
