In this paper, background of the crisis, the double-mismatch risk, and reconstruction of corporate and financial sector are reviewed for the period of 1997-2001. Following up the experience, current status of the Asian financial and capital market between 2002 and 2006 and future direction of regional financial cooperation and Asian common market are observed.
