As a public service, the Ministry of Railways began to construct the line from Matsusaka City. In August, 1929, the line from Matsusaka to Gongenmae opened. However, Sangu-Kyuko-Dentetsu, a private railroad company, opened the Nabari to Matsusaka line in 1930, so that the Meisho line was stopped and not extended beyond the Ise-Okitsu station in 1935. However, there has been some movement observed regarding the problems of the above points in each local area. Taking up the issue of constructing the Gongenmae station using a variety of reference materials remains these days.
