| 内容記述 | Patients with macular diseases often complain of metamorphopsia in addition to decreased visual acuity and visual field defects. Amsler chart has been the conventional method to detect metamorphopsia qualitatively. However, it cannot evaluate visual acuity and the visual field quantitatively. In 1999, we developed a new metamorphopsia chart, M-CHARTS(R), which can evaluate metamorphopsia easily and quantitatively. The clinical application of MCHARTS(R) has enabled quick and easy diagnosis of metamorphopsia in patients with various macular diseases. Moreover, it also helps in determining the therapeutic regimen and following up, and provides a new assessment of visual functions in patients with metamorphopsia. | |||||||||
