          <dc:description>研究成果の概要（和文）：本研究では報告者が開発したパルプ繊維濃度評価技術や流れ中の繊維挙動に関する知見から、ディフューザ型流路を用いて高濃度パルプ繊維の分散を促進してその制御を図るとともに、ヘッドボックス内流路の最適化を探求した。とりわけ、パルプ繊維濃度の平均および変動分布や濃度むらの度合いの管軸方向変化を求め、これらに及ぼす供試パルプ液濃度と流路の広がり角の影響を明らかにした。その結果、高濃度パルプ繊維の分散制御を図る課題点を見いだすとともに、抄紙機ヘッドボックスの改善に繋がる学術的資料を作成した。
研究成果の概要（英文）： This study explored the feasibility of improving the hydraulic headbox of papermaking machines by studying the flow of wood-pulp suspensions in diffuser passages. Pulp fiber concentrations were investigated by flow visualization and optical measurement, the method of which has been developed by the author. Changes in the time-averaged and fluctuation of the fiber concentration along the flow direction were examined. The effects of the working pulp-suspension concentration and the divergence angle of the diffusers on them were investigated systematically. In addition, a discussion was given for the degree of uniformity of the fiber-concentration distribution along the diffuser axis. The basic findings obtained from this study are expected to contribute to improving and optimizing headbox of the papermaking machines.</dc:description>
