<論文>1990年以降「四半世紀」のセブンーイレブン Activities of Seven-Eleven Co., Ltd. in a Quarter of a Century after 1990 井田, 泰人 イダ, ヨシヒト コンビニエンス・ストア 店舗展開 社会貢献 利害関係者 コーポレート・ガバナンス convenience store policy of opening stores social contribution stakeholder corporate governance [抄録]本稿では、1990年以降最近まで、「四半世紀」の経済および商業の変遷、趨勢を概観しながら、大手コンビニエンス・ストアであるセブン-イレブンの展開を「経営全般」、「店舗展開」、「社会貢献」、「利害関係者」の視点から明らかにしている。セブン-イレブンは同期間、売上高をのばしており、成長を遂げてきた。国内のみならず海外での出店も活発に行っている。セブンーイレブンは社会変化ヘ対応し、環境保全にも取り組んでいる。さらに高齢化社会に対応したサービスの展開も見られた。加盟店・株主・経営者などの利害関係者との関係についても見てきたが、その状態は必ずしも良好とはいえず、改善を図る必要があることを指摘した。 [Abstract]The purpose of this paper is to describe activities of the biggest convenience store, Seven-Eleven Co., Ltd. in Japan, overviewing the trends of Japanese economy and commerce in a quater of a century after 1990. Seven-Eleven built management organizations and systems. The result of its business performance continues to be in good condition. It opens a lot of stores in Japan and abroad. Seven-Eleven adapts its way to the change. For example, it works hard to much support environmental conservation, eco-logistics, recycles of garbage, cleaning campaigns, and so on. And to respond to aging society, it started delivering service for the elderly. But it sometimes faces the antagonism between franchiser and franchisees about a contract. Moreover it is recently troubled with the problem of corporate governance.
