          <datacite:description descriptionType="Abstract">A CF/PA66 laminate was irradiated by diode laser. The irradiated surface, the opposite surface, and a cross section were photographed using a thermographic camera. The wavelength of the diode laser used in this experiment was 940nm, and the spot diameter was 6mm. For capturing a temperature image on both the irradiated surface and the opposite surface of the CF/PA66 laminate, the laser power was set to 8W. For that of the cross section, the laser power was set to 5W. Experimental results are as follows: 1) by using a thermographic camera, it was confirmed that irradiation by diode laser produces intense heat at the irradiated point, one of the unique characteristics of a laser; 2) the surface temperature of the portion irradiated by laser was uneven, with the maximum temperature being at the center; 3) it was discovered that the difference between the maximum temperature of the irradiated surface of the CF/PA66 laminate, and that of the opposite surface, was more than 150℃.</datacite:description>
