内容記述 | Learning Japanese onomatopoeia is very important for communication in the Japanese language. If learners of the Japanese language have not studied Japanese onomatopoeia, they cannot imagine what those utterances mean, thus understanding sentence meaning is also difficult. Japanese onomatopoeia expresses voices, sounds, situations, feeling, and so on. “The Song of Onomatopoeia (Onomatope no uta)” was made in 2019 for learning Japanese onomatopoeia effectively and delightfully. This song consists of two verses. The first verse contains bleats of animals and human voices and other sounds. Examples are sounds such as “wan-wan (bark of dogs)”, “kyâ-kyâ (human voice)”, and “byû-byû (sound of wind)”. The second verse depicts situations. Sounds here illustrate physical conditions and feelings, such as “niko-niko (smile / with a smile)”, “gan-gan (have a splitting headache)”, and “waku-waku (be excited)”. The number of Japanese onomatopoeia is very large. If learners of the Japanese language acquire Japanese onomatopoeia, their speech will become rich with many new expressions. The Song of Onomatopoeia enables leaners to understand what Japanese onomatopoeia is and helps them to remember typical sounds by singing the song. This is an effective means of learning Japanese. | |||||
